What happened to the old Home Page?!?!?! The new Discovery Hub [Edited]!!!

Hate the new Discovery Hub.  Too many sign in requests.  The old Home Page had news, entertainment, all that stuff wrapped into one.  Will be changing Home Page to news.google.com.   Are you trying to get rid of customers?

Starting today, my bookmark in Safari that used to take me to the Xfinity news page now takes me to their new Discovery page. That page has nothing I want to see, and now I cannot find the Xfinity news page anywhere.

help!

@AllenPi Thank you for reaching out to us here at the Xfinity Community Forums. The Discovery Hub is actually the latest redesign of our personalized Xfinity homepage at this time and will continue to be updated with new features moving forward. Please let us know if you have any additional questions about this.

Please add the news page to the new discovery hub.  That will make a lot of Xfinity users not switch to a new provider!

I did post but I must have done it wrong. I agree with every comment made about the Discovery Hub. Terrible and Xfinity doesn't give you what you want just them trying to sell, sell, sell. The home page gave us what we wanted, news, sports, info, whether now nothing. I will have to find a different home page and probably change some of my emails to a different one so I don't have to jump through hoops to get my xfinity email. Not a happy camper.

Whoever decided to replace the Xfinity user homepage is a social media fool. I do not need to see Xfinity marketing messages 24/7.  I was able to clear my cache and access my homepage yesterday, but now the hub has returned. I’ve been a customer for 25 years, but I will start exploring other options today.

I agree, no reason to use comcast email if I have to jump through multiple hoops just to get to it. Return the old homepage for those who want it

The new home page seems nothing more than a marketing ploy.  I won't be using it for sure.  I hope to see the old one come back.

Disappeared seemingly without warning.  I don't like having to login _multiple_times to find stuff.   It was nice to have a hub that was not my account/billing/comcast stuff and was a news source.  I clicked through to articles etc in the past, which was providing you ad revenue, etc.  But now I'm going to have to seek out a new homepage.  This means you get zero click throughs and thus no additional revenue from me.

I'm guessing you did a cost benefit analysis and saw that curating the home page cost you more than you were getting in adversting click throughs so... Ah well.

For the amount of money I am paying each month I would expect at least some notificaiton and a feedback period.

Especially as  at least 3 bucks of that monthly money is going to support Fox and their destruction of the US.

At least re-bundle fox as a subscriber only thing, like Peacock and Streampix. I'm really not happy that I am forced to subsidize a seditious, treasonous, corproate entity that has admitted in court they are liars and propagandists.

Further Edit - You've now made it significantly harder for me to access my 'streaming service' from Xfinity.  I used to just open the browser to my home page and then click through to 'TV' to start the streaming page. You've got no equivalent link from the 'Hub' which is directing me to other products and services I don't want or need.

@prisgrom I just talked the customer service department about hub. He said this was the first time he got a complaint for this. He also said they are NOT going to change back to the old page as it is not in their best interest. The reason why is because not enough people clicked on the news etc.

because they stopped updating the news throughout the day about a year ago to drive people away from that page:-(

[Edited: "Language/Inflammatory"]. This new Discovery Hub has made it so I can’t search anything. Try searching and it just reloads to the same Discovery Hub page. After 30 minutes with Xfinity was told my MAC might not be comparable. Seriously? Transferred me to Apple and got my old Xfinity page back for one night and now it’s back to DH page and still not working.

Thank you for reaching out to us @user_46588e. We appreciate you taking the time to reach out to us via our forums. We are working to resolve the issues with the Discovery Hub page, however, it is taking over for the older Xfinity Home page and unfortunately, there are no plans on reverting to it. The issues should be resolved soon, however, you can change your main page if you would like through your browser as well.

@XfinityEdgardo all of you Xfinity employee's are passing along the same lip service [Edited: "Language"] to everyone that complains about losing our home page. We will pass this on to our care team [Edited: "Inflammatory"]. I am looking into moving to Verzion Fios to see if that is better. I am a Xfinity Diamond Member, but it maybe time to move on.

Discovery Hub [Edited: "Language/Inflammatory"] who gives [Edited: "Language"] about product news when you take away online news about whats going on around the world which is far more important, you take away sports also, and other news worthy items it as if your so disconnected to your clientelle you can't even talk to us on the phone anymore. Apparently AI has taken over for you [Edited: "Inflammatory"].

The concern is not "Community Center" help related. Topic moved here to the proper help section, and for greater exposure to Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) for assistance.

I'm confused, why did they remove my original Xfinity homepage, I thought as time goes on improvements should be made. This Discovery Hub, is a fall back to me. I want to get my Original homepage back. If anyone knows something please let me know.

My home page changed to Discovery Hub without my permission. I find it useless and frustrating. I was online chatting (texting) with customer service until 10:00 last night and someone in India was the best I could get. They promised they would fix the problem as usual but were unable to help me. I was supposed to get a call back in 2-4 hours ( between 10pm and 2am [Edited: "Language"]). Of course that never happened.

So, Anamika in India ID# B.1, [Edited: "Inflammatory"]

I see that many others are unhappy with this change. I wonder if Xfinity will do anything about it. I am at the end of the rope with these people. I'm down to just basic TV and internet service due to 2 price increases this year and being recently retired. I've been a customer for over 26 years and all I get is less service for more money. Luckily, there is an Xfinity store not far from me. I will visit them today and see what [Edited: Language/Inflammatory"] they have to say.

Happened yesterday to me too. Liked the old page to read & delete voicemails, block nuisance calls etc. The old page had the items at the top. The new page took a little looking to find the items. Would have been nice for xfinity to alert folks that the old page was going away.

The hub arrived in the Denver market on 6/14. Yikes!  The Old Home Page was something I opened several times a day to get a quick view on headline news, financial trends, sports, and interesting articles on science, etc.  Comcast owns NBC, so this was a natural thing for the home page.   I could also quickly see at a glance info on upcoming TV shows or movies. And maybe even become tempted by advertising.  All of this on one page, with very convenient icons at the top requiring just a click to get to streaming, xfinity home, email or billing.  All of this is gone with Discovery Hub!  It may have marketing potential for new subscribers to "Discover" services, but has limited functionality and is extremely frustrating for existing customers.  My workaround has been to create a shortcut to the streaming page, which still has the old top bar icon links.  Hopefully that doesn't disappear next.  But really! Come-on xfinity/comcast - even if you had tracked limited home page users you now risk sending them to the competitors!!!
