Verifying email address.

I received an email telling me to enter a six-digit code to verify my email address. But it doesn't say how. I hit "reply" and sent the email with the code. Is that the way to do it? Or is there another way? This isn't the first I've heard of this.

Was this email to authenticate your account after speaking with a customer service representative? You would receive the email and then report the code to the CSR in private messaging.

Hello -- I'm not sure what it was for, all I know is that I got the email with the six digit code numbers and had no idea what to do with it! How would I know to go to CSR (whoever that is) in private messaging? Seriously, I've never had to do this. What should I do now? I appreciate your assistance.
