Unable to access Xfinity email through Apple Mail App

Both my wife and I recently became unable to access our Xfinity email through the Apple Mail app (constant messages that the iMap account password for ‘Comcast’ is invalid).

After three calls to the Xfinity Security team, I am now being told that the problem is related to the migration of Xfinity email to Yahoo and we can only access our email through the Xfinity.com website until our accounts cam be migrated.  No ETA could be given for our accounts to migrate.  Are others experiencing the same issue and being told the same information?  Does anyone at Xfinity know how long we will have to put up with this inconvenience?

Hey there user_3bf735, thanks for reaching out through our community forums! I'm sorry to hear you haven't been able to access your emails through Apple Mail. We have not received word of any issues with comcast.net emails not syncing with third party email clients caused by the migration to Yahoo. To confirm, are you able to access your email through the Xfinity website and have you already gone through the process to move your email to Yahoo's platform?

We are able to access our email through the Xfinity website without issue.  We have not received any invitation to migrate to Yahoo (I specifically asked if this was an option when I spoke to the security representative).  He just told me we would have to wait but did not give any ETA.  Can we migrate now?

user_3bf735 Hello and happy Tuesday! I completely understand your eagerness to migrate your email now, especially since you've already discussed it with our security team. Thanks for reaching out!

We are rolling out the option to migrate to the Yahoo Mail platform in stages. This phased approach helps us manage the sheer volume of migrations and ensures the system doesn't get overloaded, which could cause service issues for our customers. You will need to wait until you receive an official email invitation from Xfinity. That email is your signal that your account is eligible and ready for the smooth transfer.

We don't have a specific ETA we can share right now, but please keep an eye on the email address you access via the Xfinity website. We appreciate your patience as we work to make this transition as seamless as possible!
