Transfer ownership of xfinity account to roommate

My roommate and I currently split the wifi bill, but I am moving out in December and she is planning to stay longer. How can I transfer the account over to her so that she can handle the equipment and billing, and remove my name from the contract and billing?

Hey @user_4afalh we would love to help keep the account active under new ownership. We can complete that for you through this platform. Just send us a direct message with your full name and service address to get started (heads up you will need the new account holder's name, and email to submit documentation for the transfer of ownership). 

 

To send a direct message: 

 

  • Make sure you are signed in here in the Xfinity Forum. Click "Sign In" if necessary
  • Click the "Direct Message" icon (square chat icon in the upper right corner of your screen next to the bell icon)
  • Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
  • Type "Xfinity Support" in the "To:" line and select "Xfinity Support" from the drop-down list which appears. The "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line
  • Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
  • Press Enter to send it

Good evening @user_aor16m! Our team can certainly assist! To get started, could you please send our team a direct message with your full name and full address? We will also need to know the new account holder’s name, phone number, and email address. To send a "Direct Message" to Xfinity Support:


Click "Sign In" if necessary
Click the "Direct Messaging" icon or https://forums.xfinity.com/direct-messaging
Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there
 - As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list
 - An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line
Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
Press Enter to send it.
