Every time I log in, the first thing is a nag to give Xfinity my mobile number. Then, due to my browser privacy settings, I wait minutes to access my account while my browser defeats all the Xfinity snoops. If it connects at all. Now, I'm getting Emails to provide an SMS number, which directs me to a contact page that has everything EXCEPT contact information. So, let this suffice for those inquiring about Xfinity integrity.
Let's get this straight. There will never be a time when Xfinity can text me. I will lie, give false accounts, or employ any number of kluges I've learned over the years. I've been around the block. The promise of "we only use it for strictly necessary communications" turns into a 4:00 am message "Gee, look at today's new features you can buy!" Just tell your Mickey Mouse Marketeers I'm not participating, so QUIT ASKING MY PERMISSION FOR ABUSE! Integrity goes a long way, and the sole reason I do business with Xfinity is that they own the copper in front of my house. Don't push it.
