Setting up Xfinity account to purchase internet plan - but can't verify my ID by my birthdate

Hi - I'm about to move to the USA and am trying to set up Xfinity internet. I have been able to set up an account (verify email and phone number) but I can't verify my ID using my birth date. I'm a US citizen - is there any other way I can verify my identity?

Hello @user_lpoxhi, thank you for taking the time to leave a post. Sorry to hear you’re running into trouble verifying your identity. I can understand how frustrating that is, especially when you’re entering the correct information, and it’s still not being accepted. From here, we can attempt an identity screening on our end. If that’s successful, we’ll be able to move forward with your order right away. If not, the next step would be to complete verification in person at the nearest Xfinity store.

How to send us a direct message: 

  1. Click "Sign In" if necessary. 
  2. Click the "Direct Messaging" icon. 
  3. Click the "Start new conversation" (pencil and paper) icon. 
  4. In the "To:" line, type "Xfinity Support." 
  5. As you type, a drop-down list will appear. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list. 
  6. An "Xfinity Support" graphic will replace the "To:" line. 
  7. Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window. 
  8. Press Enter to send it.
