Ok how come my logon is asking for a extra email and a cell phone number when i haven't set the 2 step security on.  every time I logon it want's that information  I open up a ticket # Ih176025171 today 7/15/21 and they don't have a clue.  I found a work a round, (us IT guys know how) but it's a pain to do so.  Any one else have this problem ? Some of us don't have extra email address or god forbid have  a cell phone.

Hello @user_65ecd8 ! Is the login process asking you to provide an additional email or cell phone to set up 2-step authentication or is it saying that you already have it set up and need to verify in that matter?

Well look's like they fixed it. You can now at log on time hit the remind me later button and you are brought to the splash page.  This is how it should be. Not everyone has a cell phone or a different email other that comcast to provide.

user_65ecd8 Thank you for the update and your feedback. I am glad to hear that it is now fixed. Our customers account security is a very high priority of ours. The two-step verification will send a verification code to either the primary number or email on file, in which the user would have to enter in the code they received. A secondary email address or phone number is not needed. If you have any other questions please reach out to us by creating a new public post.

I no longer work for Comcast.
