Remove Mobile Number from Two factor authentication

Is there a way to remove my mobile number from 2FA methods? On the 2FA setting page, it lists a mobile number, an email address, and the mobile authenticator at the bottom. Due to know vulnerabilities with SMS/Texting of security codes , I'd like to remove my mobile number as an option for 2FA.

I can click on "Edit" next to the button. However, the title of the page is "contact numbers" . If I remove my mobile number on this page, will it remove it *only* from 2FA? I don't want to unintentionally remove my mobile number completely from my account, just from 2FA.

@redkomrad Hey there! Great question. I just checked out my own account to make sure I provide the best information relating to the question about the authentication. It would in fact remove that number from the account. If you don't want the 2FA on that I would just leave it. If that is off on the account then everything will remain the same and nothing will be altered.
