Purchased internet with new account but can only sign in to old account

I just purchased internet for my new address and ordered the Comcast modem + router.

I used my email address to create my xfinity id.

That email address is associated with my father's old Comcast account as a secondary user.

Now I cannot log into my new account to see information about my internet contract and device that I ordered. I won't be able to activate my device once it arrives at my apartment.

Hi there! Thanks for reaching out to us for help with the Xfinity ID. I'm sorry that there is an issue with the email address being a part of another account. You should be able to unlink the address from the account by logging into https://comca.st/3fceo59, going to settings and account details.

I am a secondary user on this account, so I cannot access those settings.

If I can get the primary user to remove my email address from that account, while I be able to use my email address to access my new internet plan and devices that I just ordered?

Thank you for the additional details, @user_2823ba. I do just want to say quickly welcome to Comcast. It is awesome you have decided to open your own account at your new home. Even as a secondary user, you should be able to remove the email under your username (unless you used it as the primary email under the primary user).
