Power of Attorney account manager access

I am trying to add myself as an account manager onto my father's Xfinity account. He has dementia and is declining quickly. I tried doing it online, but it requires 2-step verification with a security code being sent to his phone. He is not in a mental state to be able to make sense of that information and send me the code. I tried bringing my durable POA paperwork to my local Xfinity store. They said they are unable to help bc I live across the country from my father, and his account was outside of the store's region. They gave me a piece of paper with instructions to complete an Account Change Request form, but I can't find this document anywhere online. I tried calling customer service. I spoke with the security team and was trying to send them copies of the POA, but they didn't seem to be able to receive the paperwork. The last customer service agent I talked to said the only other option was for them to call my father and ask for his approval - again, he's not in a mental state to understand that request. I don't know what else to try. This has been incredibly frustrating.  I just want to be an account manager so I can help him pay his bills.

user_sm3lda Hello, I am sorry to hear about your fathers state, but I am happy to hear he has an awesome son to help! This situation might be atricky one since we would also require a code to verify the account. Did the security team open a ticket for this matter?

I was talking to the security team and was trying to send them my POA paperwork, but for whatever reason the email I was sending wasn't going through, and then our conversation got cut off. I tried calling back and after navigating through several different customer service representatives the last one I talked to said that I wasn't allowed to speak to security because I was not listed on the account.

I'm very confused by this - every other company I've talked to (his credit cards, his bank, Verizon, his car insurance, his utilities, etc) all have a process for submitting POA paperwork and being added to his account.

Were you provided a direct number to our security teams department? I am sorry, but you are able to speak to them to request how to submit the documentation.

No, I was not provided a direct number. I was transferred to the security team at one point and tried to submit the documentation, and the emails that I sent to the address they gave me didn't seem to be going through. And then our phone conversation was cut off.

user_sm3lda What happens when you send the email that it seems to not be going through?

I sent them an email to <Edited: Personal Information> with a PDF attachment of the POA and they did not receive it. And then I tried again using JPG images of the POA document and they still didn't receive it. And then our phone call got cut off.
