Phone number receiving billing texts for someone else’s Xfinity account — need secure help

Hi Xfinity Community / Mods,

I recently started receiving recurring Xfinity billing/charge SMS messages on my newly assigned mobile number. Following the text link, I tried to sign in using the phone number to check whether my payment method was at risk.

After accessing the portal via the “forgot password” flow, I realized the account shown is not mine (different name/address). I stopped immediately once I understood this.

I’m concerned that this phone number may have previously been associated with the account holder and is now incorrectly linked to their Xfinity account. I also want to make sure my email is not associated with any account that isn’t mine.

Because this is a privacy/security issue involving another customer’s account, I don’t want to post any personal details publicly.

Could a moderator please advise how to resolve this through a secure/private channel (e.g., verified chat/phone support), so Xfinity can:

  • remove my email from the wrong account (if attached),

  • unlink my phone number from that account,

  • and ensure I stop receiving billing texts that aren’t mine?

The best course of action, in this case, would actually be to report this to our Customer Security Assurance. You can contact them calling CSA directly at Toll-Free Number: 1-888-565-4329.
