.nexus tlds not recognized

I have a .nexus email address that  I wanted to use as a secondary email address, however the website doesn't recognize it as a legitimate TLD

Thank you for reaching out on our Community Forums @xexus, we appreciate it. You should be able to use a nexus.com email as a secondary email address. What errors are you running into when trying to add it to your account?

Hi @xexus, we understand the frustration and thank you for your patience. The error you’re seeing is related to the .nexus email domain, which is a newer Top‑Level Domain (TLD). Our system may not immediately recognize some newer or less common domains as valid, especially if the email provider’s security authentication isn’t fully aligned yet.

Here are a few options that usually resolve this:

- If the automatic setup fails, you can try adding the address manually.

- Sign in to Xfinity Email using your Xfinity ID and password

- Click the Gear icon (Settings) in the top‑right corner

- Select Add mail account

- If prompted, choose the manual setup option

- Enter the IMAP/SMTP settings provided by your .nexus email provider
(Important: These must come from your .nexus email host, not Comcast settings)

You can find additional guidance with our helpful article here.

If you’re trying to receive emails from the .nexus address (not send from it), adding it to your Safe List may help.

- Go to Email Settings > Advanced Settings

- Check Use email safe list

- Click Add an email address and enter the full .nexus email address

If the issue continues, the domain may be flagged by our security systems.

The Customer Security Assurance team can check whether the .nexus domain is being blocked and request it be allowed. You can reach them at 1-888-565-4329 and they are open from 8am to 12am ET, 7 days a week. Ask them to verify whether the .nexus domain is blacklisted.

We know this isn’t ideal, especially with a newer domain, and we appreciate you taking the time to work through it. We're here to help!
