New user, Unable to get into the app to activate internet

Hello, I recently bought a NOW internet plan, and have received the gateway just fine, but I think an issue with my XfinityID is preventing me from activating it.

Whenever I try to sign into the app it says that the sign in was successful but I am not authorized and must be an Xfinity user. The website, both main and NOW specific, is also being very spotty with my login status, about 95% of the time the account button turns back into a sign in button about a second or two after loading any page, and when I am able to try to get to a settings page it only ever gives me a "something has happened" error. I can't use the chat assistant for help either, as sign in attempts there are also failing to stick. This issue has occurred across multiple devices with different browsers.

Also, despite having received the gateway with the correct address on the package label, when I try to go through the Find My XfinityID steps to reconfirm what exactly it expects me to put in as the ID when I sign in (in case that was the issue) it says my address isn't recognized in the system at all.

Thank you for any help that can be provided.

Good evening sharderai 👋 I appreciate you stopping by our community for help, and you're in the best place for it! We definitely want you to be able to use your new prepaid NOW internet as soon as possible, so we'll do everything we can to help get you logged in 👍 If your existing Xfinity ID isn't giving you the ability to manage your new NOW services, you may be needing to create a new Xfinity ID that is specific to the prepaid services. If you visit xfinity.com/getstarted, can you try to see if it will allow you to go through the entire ID setup process for your new account?

Unfortunately, after entering and verifying my phone number, it still stops at the street address step, saying "We don't recognize that address. Please try again." I've tried while in the buggy half-signed-in state, while fully signed out, and in an incognito window. I didn't have a pre-existing XfinityID before buying the NOW internet, it was created while I was buying it, and at the time of purchase the system did recognize my address as valid for service.

I understand the help for NOW service is limited, and I thank you for trying to help anyway.

I did go through the right process, I remember following the exact steps it listed out for buying internet service alone. Trying to go through the NOW service page live chat just lead me to the Xfinity assistant, and the Xfinity assistant has been unhelpful as it leads me to either the same failure to recognize my street address, or the failure to stay signed in for the assistant's more direct help. Is it possible there is simply a delay between buying the service and counting an address as active in the system?

I did have another thought, too. My phone is still given service through my parent's Xfinity plan, though it was not connected to an Xfinity ID itself before I went to buy my own internet plan through NOW. Out of curiosity I tried inputting their address instead in the step after verifying my phone number and found I was able to see the members listed under their account (my ID was not among them though). Is that something that should ordinarily happen when inputting any known serviced address, or is it possible that my phone number still being under someone else's existing Xfinity plan messed with the address associated with my own newly created account?

Thanks for clarifying,  if your phone number is registered under your parents account that means you have an Xfinity ID under that account which you would need your parents to go under their account and remove your Xfinity phone number and ID off their account
