Need to terminate my service without using phone

The direct message icon does not show up. With a little research, I learned that it might not show up until I've made at least one post. So here is my post.

I don't see how sending a service termination request to Xfinity Support would be a violation of forum guidelines. It's ridiculous that I need to make a post in order for the Direct Message option to even appear...
