Migration to yahoo is a NIGHTMARE

I have been able to use Yahoo to email.  I'm sending and receiving just find.  However, I want to do so in Outlook.  Please don't send over the settings.  I have tried it all.  I DELETED my account and started from scratch.  I simply says there is trouble connecting to the server.  I have cleared/deleted/reset/shutdown antivirus (It was working fine before)   I have an outlook.com email that is working fine.  What can I do to use outlook again???

Have you attempted to update your IMAP settings within Outlook? There was a setting within our email client that was required to be selected for 3rd party apps to access the email address. Have you poked around in the Yahoo Mail settings?

First - I have used Outlook since literally it was first introduced.  So I'm pretty good at it.

Server imap.mail.yahoo.com/Port: 993/Encryption: SSL/TLS.  Outgoing Mail: (SMTP).  Server: smtp.mail.yahoo.com/Port:465 (or 587)/Encryption: SSL/TLS.  Authentication Same as Incoming.  Using the App Password?  Yes.  Tried with Microsoft PW as well.   Have I "Poked around" Yahoo mail?  Yes but did not find anything I could change that made sense.  Like I posted, I have tried every configuration possible.  Or have I?  Thanks for the help!

user_z81qqb Thank you for following up and providing those specific details! It’s clear you’re very experienced with Outlook, and we appreciate you confirming those server settings and the App Password right away. Since the standard configuration is correct, there is one "hidden" setting that often causes this roadblock. Within your email settings via a web browser, please ensure the "Third-party app access" or "Allow apps that use less secure sign-in" toggle is turned on. Even with an App Password, this master setting sometimes needs to be cycled off and back on to trigger a connection.
