Login doesn't work to complete purchase

I'm trying to order new Xfinity service but cannot access my account to complete the purchase when I received this error message during the purchase process:

Hmm, the page didn't load correctly

Try refreshing the page, if the problem persists, try again later.

I set up a new Xfinity ID account, my credit card was charged $1, and I received an email from Xfinity to 'please complete your purchase' but when I click the login link from that email I get this error message:

We're sorry.

The credentials you have entered are invalid.

Please check your credentials.

If I visit the Xfinity site after clearing my browser's cache/cookies and login then I can access the main page as my username but clicking on 'my account' or any other cart or purchase page gives me the following error message:

Hmm, the page didn't load correctly

Try refreshing the page, if the problem persists, try again later.

I just want to buy internet service and am at a loss as to what to do.

Here's the detailed steps to direct message us: 
 • Click "Sign In" if necessary
 • Click the "Peer to peer chat" icon (upper right corner of this page)
 • Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
 • Type "Xfinity Support" in the to line and select "Xfinity Support" from the drop-down list
 • Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
 • Press Enter to send your message
