Like Many Others, Billing Portal Still Isn't Working

Xfinity:  Like many others have posted here and in other forums, the billing portal still isn't working.  You get an error screen about roles (attached).  I've tried Chrome and Firefox, both in public and private browsing modes, and I've tried clearing cache.  The dev tools console (F12) is filled with uncaught errors, so your website is not coded properly (screenshot also attached below).  The back end services (F12, network tab) are all returning success codes, so it's a UI problem only.  Please forward this to your UI team so they can hotfix it.  And please respond to the various users on how to actually view and pay a bill.

Hi @XfinityAngie, yes, I still cannot get into the billing portal.  I have the same role error as before and that others have seen.  When is this expected to be fixed, and is there a workaround?

Hello, @user_9ed334. Currently, there isn't and ETA to provide for the fix but again wanted to assure you that our dedicated engineer team is working to resolve this as quickly as possible.

With the role message populating, here is a great article that goes over the role permissions and how to change: https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/designate-users-restricted-or-unrestricted.

The awesome Xfinity App is another way option to view and pay bills as well, if you don't have it downloaded you can try viewing and paying through the Xfinity App: https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/use-my-account-app?view=app

@user_9ed334 This worked for me, though I am displeased...

If I use Mozilla/Firefox and clear all the xfinity related cookies, then open an incognito window, and login but make sure NOT to check 'stay logged in' and 'remember this computer' it will allow me access to billing etc.

Additionally, by my own troubleshooting if I _disable_ 'AdBlock Plus'' on Firefox (doesn;t work in Chromium based browsers like Edge, I tried) and basically give them free range to snoop my computer and put al sorts of tracking cookies and feed me ads, I can login without anyof the whole cookie deleting and incognito tab using steps.

I'm really disappointed in what is revealed in the f12/developer console information.

Shame on you Xfinity for mucking up a customer service portal with this [Edited: "Language"].

I can also no longer properly access billing to make payments online using Firefox in Windows. It does work in Google Chrome. But there's no reason it shouldn't work with Firefox. I'm an IT professional and know what I'm doing.

Comcast should resolve this!!!

I cannot log into anything but email. When I try to access My Account or billing or rewards, I get an endless loop of a login credentials request followed by a lengthy loading process. Then I get kicked back to the login again. Over and over. This all started after I moved to a new address and moved my service. It took almost 2 weeks getting Internet back on. I have tried logging in from every way I could think of but had no luck. I even got an access denied error once.

All I have is Internet but I can't view my bill or look to see if my address actually got changed properly. From what I read above, nobody at xfinity [Edited: "Inflammatory"]

@delcarto Hello and thank you for reaching out via our Xfinity Forums today. I would be happy to troubleshoot this account login issue with you today. Have you had a chance to clear the cache and cookies on your computer? Also, when you moved did you set up a whole new account at your new address and have it activated before you stopped your services at your old address?

From what I can see chrome had an update that is disallowing cross-site tracking and Comcast just hasn't gotten the memo. And, some very unintelligent and irresponsible programmers used the legacy Quirks Mode on a web standard HTML page.
Quirks Mode Description - "There are now three modes used by the layout engines in web browsers: quirks mode, limited-quirks mode, and no-quirks mode. In quirks mode, the layout emulates behavior in Navigator 4 and Internet Explorer 5. This is essential to support websites that were built before the widespread adoption of web standards. In no-quirks mode, the behavior is (hopefully) the desired behavior described by modern HTML and CSS specifications. In limited-quirks mode, there are only a very small number of quirks implemented."
I have heard from the rumor mills that many corporate sleaze-hats are hiring incompetent web designers to cut costs and as a result the quality of customer engagement. It would appear that those rumors have weight with all this interest and actual evidence for a case of
Page layout may be unexpected due to Quirks Mode
One or more documents in this page is in Quirks Mode, which will render the affected document(s) with quirks incompatible with the current HTML and CSS specifications.

Quirks Mode exists mostly due to historical reasons. If this is not intentional, you can add or modify the DOCTYPE to be `<!DOCTYPE html>` to render the page in No Quirks Mode.

December 7, 2023 billing not working for me. (Cleared cache, Cookies, etc.) Nothing will work and I am forced to call on the phone 5 to 11 times to get the automated system to take my payment.

Oh and please stop with the repeated one-off AI support bots that are trained to only say, "Have you had a chance to clear the cache and cookies on your computer?"
