I need to remove my mobile number from secondary account.

I can't find a way to delete a mobile number from a secondary account. I have 3 users setup on my account. One of which has a cell number on it that I want removed to use it on a different secondary account. When I attempt to edit it and save with a blank number, it will not let me as it's a required field. When I attempt to put the number on a different secondary account, it tells me the number is already used.

Hello @olds97_lss_bl, and thank you for reaching out with you concern on adding a number to a profile that a message comes up is already in use. To confirm, do you know if the number you are trying to add is on another profile you use for this or another account? Did you recently get the new number? If you recently got it, and it was in use by another customer in the past, that may be the issue as they had a login with it which we need to remove from the old profile. Our CSA team at 1 (888) 565-4329 would be able to help with getting it removed from a profile that's not yours if that is the case. Please let me know if this information helps!

No, the issue is I have 2 cell numbers and 3 accounts/emails setup on comcast.

1 cell for me, 2 email accounts for me.

1 cell for my wife, 1 email for my wife.

My wife inadvertently set the cell phone on my secondary account to her cell number while her account didn't have a cell number. So now, if I do a password change on my secondary account, it sends her a text to verify.

I'd like to remove the cell from my secondary account entirely then put that cell number on my wife's account, so if she needs to reset her pwd, she will get the code on her phone.

Thanks for the information. In that case, you would log into the account that has her number on it, and after login you can remove the phone number from it. This will then allow you to add it to her profile within 24 hours after it was removed from the old username it was attached to. Our CSA team can also assist with getting this done if you run into any problems. They have the ability to make changes to account profile settings for usernames as well.
