I cannot cancel my service

I am trying to cancel my service. I logged into my account last week, (Monday 7/6) attempting to find a way to cancel online. There was an option to 'move service', but not cancel. When I tried to ask about cancelling service in the chatbot I would either receive a message that an error was encountered, or would be directed to request a callback.  My earliest callback option was Saturday,  7/11. I chose Saturday morning as my callback. I never received a call. 

In general I have had a good experience with Xfinity, so I was surprised at these unethical tactics designed to make cancelling service difficult. What do I have to do to cancel my service? Do I have to just cancel my auto-pay? I'm sure my service will be cancelled then.

Please send us a direct message with your full name and complete service address to “Xfinity Support”. To do so, click on the direct messaging icon located at the top right of this forums page.
How to Send Us a Direct Message:
1. Click "Sign In" if necessary.
2. Click the "Direct Messaging" icon.
3. Click the "Start new conversation" (pencil and paper) icon. 
4. In the "To:" line, type "Xfinity Support".
5. As you type, a drop-down list will appear. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list.
6. An "Xfinity Support" graphic will replace the "To:" line.
7. Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window.
8. Press Enter to send it.
