I also need help!

My Xfinity account has the wrong email address attached to it. I can't change it, because Xfinity keeps sending a "confirmation email" to that old Yahoo email address, one that I can no longer access. Years ago, my apartment management took over my Xfinity wifi, so I actually paid for Xfinity through my apartment. It was weird, but I didn't ask questions. I just paid for my Xfinity wifi when paying my rent. I assume the landlord had a deal with Xfinity. The problem was, since I no longer had Xfinity bills going to my old email address, I wasn't checking it much, and I wound up getting permanently locked out of that Yahoo email account. I need to change both the email address associated with my account and also change my Xfinity service plan, since my landlord says their deal with Xfinity ends November 5th, so I need a new service plan. However, it's possible I can just change the service plan online if I can only get the right email address on my account.

@changing_email

Thanks for explaining everything. I can definitely understand why this has become frustrating, especially since you no longer have access to the Yahoo email address and need to get your account updated before your apartment’s Xfinity arrangement ends on November 5.

Since the confirmation is being sent to an email address you can’t access, we’ll want to focus first on getting the contact information on the account corrected rather than continuing to send verification to that old address. Once that’s addressed, we can also look at what needs to happen with your service when the apartment-managed arrangement ends and determine the best path for selecting a new plan.

If we need to access or make account-specific changes, we can continue with the appropriate account verification steps in private.
