How do I unlink an account

I transferred a linked account to someone else in apartment where i no longer reside.  I can not figure out how to unlink.  I contacted customer service and they said the wait was 1 minute, i got 4 calls that hung up on me and finally after 20 minutes someone finally called.  The customer service rep told me to add new account owner as a user then change this new users to primary and delete me.  This was a good guess by the rep, however apparently the new user gets added only to the very first xfininity account on the profile, which in this case was not the correct one.  So far myself and the other person have over 1 hour in this.  Both of us have talked with customer support.  Each of us have been information that is not correct.   Please advise on how you can resolve the issue with minimal time.  Also I see dozens of other requests on this community for the same exact problem.  Everyone of them has to be resolved off line.  IMHO Comcast might make it easy to unlink and publish how to do it so dozens of other people do not have to put up with this unneeded frustration.

and this added him to the wrong account.    I would call customer support back, but apparently you went home.

Just an FYI, what you should have done was both of you go to the Comcast store and transfer the account there.  If you moved and transferred your services, that complicates things considerably.  In that case it would have been better to not transfer but to open a new account at your new place.
