How do I unlink a super old comcast account?

I am a new customer. My email is attached to a super old account that i no longer want to have association with. Is it as simple as my new service coming up online and I remove the old? Do I need to call in so my online access is properly corrected?

Friday74, Good morning to you and happy Friday. 😀 Thank you for becoming a Xfinity customer! I would love to help you out with unlinking the old account. There are steps listed here: https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/switching-between-multiple-accounts

Once you are logged into your account you would select Account and Identity > Xfinity ID and Security > Your Accounts > Manage and link accounts. From there you would click on unlink next to the account that you no longer need access to.

Make sure that another account is already set as the default before unlinking the one that needs to be removed.
