How do I make an appointment for a technician?

I had a phone call from someone who said they needed to upgrade my Xfinity software.  He was not a native English speaker and I couldn't tell most of what he was  saying.  He told me to removed the wires to my two boxes, which I did.  I had limited access since both were secured in wood paneling.  I tried.  He evidently hung up on me and now I can determine where all the wires go.  Could I have a tech make a house call and hook up my secondary small box?

Should say I can't figure out how to rewire.

I am so incredibly sorry you had to deal with that frustrating call! Please know that Xfinity will never call you out of the blue and ask you to disconnect your equipment wires to complete a software update. Software updates happen automatically over our network while your boxes stay plugged in. It sounds more like a scammer @user_qcg9ir.

We can absolutely get a technician out to your house, there is a $100 installation fee, if you'd like to proceed, send our team a direct message with your full name, the name listed on the account (if different), and the service address associated with your account.

To send a "Direct Message" to Xfinity Support:

Click "Sign In" if necessary

Click the "Direct Messaging" icon

Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon

The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there

- As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list

- An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line

Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window

Press Enter to send it.
