How can I change mobile phone number for my account. Get error message "Mobile Phone Mobile Number is already linked to an active account"
I received an email from Xfinity titled "Your phone number has been removed". I signed on to Xfinity webpage. My account now shows primary phone number as a landline and will not let me change to my mobile number. Instead the web page just says "
Update mobile number
You'll start receiving automated text messages about your Xfinity service to this number, including billing and appointment reminders, and outage alerts. Message & data rates may apply. You can reply STOP to opt out at any time. Your mobile phone can also be used to sign in and confirm your identity.
Mobile Number is already linked to an active account

- You can't change the phone number for your tablet or smartwatch.
- Your phone number can only be changed once every 30 days.

If you're already using your Xfinity Mobile phone, call 1-888-936-4968 for a new number. Call from a line other than the one getting its number changed. You can also chat with Xfinity Assistant (https://www.xfinity.com/xfinityassistant/)
Any changes must be made by the account holder, Primary user, or a Manager on your Xfinity Mobile account.
