Endless loop with Hulu activation

I am trying to activate Hulu as part of a new Xfinity Disney+ and Hulu bundle. Disney activated very easily. Hulu takes me in an endless loop. Either:

1- asks me to select a package

2- on the phone app, tells me my device is active but the tv app says my account is inactive

3- changed password numerous times on Disney and still can’t get anywhere.

4-spent literally hours on chat with customer support. Both Xfinity and Hulu and neither have been able to solve the issue

shghafir Good morning! When you had touched base with Hulu did they have any specific guidance on the issue? What had happened during that interaction?

They had me try different things: sent me a new activation link, incognito login and suggested I create a new Disney account which I did not do. Nothing work. I contacted Xfinity and basically tried the same things. I was given a case number and told to check back because I was not the only one experiencing this issue and back end was “working on it”.

shghafir Gotcha! Appreciate the details. If you do have the update activation link in the email, if you can please try and follow this step-by-step process to get everything set up:
    1. Start Activation: Click the "Activate now" link in the email, or navigate to Xfinity Your Subscriptions.
    2. Sign In: Enter your Xfinity ID and password, then click Let's go.
    3. Select the Bundle: Find the Disney+/Hulu subscription in your account and click Activate. (Note: If you don't see an "Activate" button next to it, your service is already active, and you can skip to Step 5).
  • Link Your Account:
    • Existing Disney/Hulu subscribers: Enter your current MyDisney email address to link your accounts and keep your watch history.
    • New subscribers: Enter the email address you would like to use for your new account and follow the prompts.

I did that numerous times but just did it again.  Disney logs in fine, I see all profiles and can view content. When I go to manage account, other services, “Hulu stream here” I click on that and it takes me to a Hulu subscription page

online research suggested:

Ask Xfinity specifically for:

    • an “entitlement reset”
    • or an “escalated Disney/Hulu activation ticket”

Customers report frontline support often cannot fix it until backend provisioning is reset manually.

shghafir They work from the same entitlement, if Disney is activated, then there would typically be something on the Hulu end that is impacting the activation. When speaking with Hulu, did you let them know that the Disney activation had worked fine?
