Email recovery

I have lost access to a comcast.net email from an old account and when I go to do a password reset it shows I need to call. When I call it is all just automated and takes me right back to the link showing I need to call and get a password reset code. How do I resolve this? I tried the live chat and it says I have to sign in to chat which I can't do obviously.

Hello @high4hu. Thank you for reaching out on our Community Forum. I know it is very important to gain access to your email. I would love to assist you with this. Have you signed in to your email at all in the last nine months? If you have not your email could have been deactivated. If you have you may need to reach out to our CSA department for assistance. Here is an Article that may help. Link

If it has been signed in on your phone, have you gone to our web page in a web browser and signed in? Or have you been continuously signed in from an app? If you have not gone to a web browser and signed in, that does not count as signing in once every nine months to keep the email active.

Everything on that link you sent just sends me around to the same thing in circles saying I have to call. When I call I can not speak to anyone and the automated system just send me back to password reset saying I must call to speak to some one. I have had this email for 20 years and is accessed daily through third party app as mentioned in documentation on all links.

The next step to try to get that password reset would be to reach out to our Customer Security Assurance department. The easiest way to reach them is online. You can also call our main 1-800-Xfinity number and request that department. The Link to the customer security assurance department is Here
