email address not fully updated

I changed the email address associated with my Xfinity account, but I'm still getting payment confirmation emails sent to the old email address and not the new one.

Hello, @user_tpffz5 was these the steps you followed to change your email address: 

 

To change your email address in the Xfinity app, follow these steps:

  1. Tap the Account tab.
  2. Select Account settings, then Xfinity ID and security.
  3. Tap the email address you want to change.
  4. On the pop-up, tap Change email to enter a new email or Make this preferred to set the current one as preferred.
  5. Confirm the change by entering the six-digit verification code sent to the new email.

Alternatively, you can change your email through the Xfinity website by signing in and following similar steps.

You can change the email address where you get Xfinity account alerts and communications on xfinity.com or the Xfinity app. follow the steps below:

  1. Go to the customer.xfinity.com/settings.
    • You may be asked to sign in with your Xfinity ID and password.
    • Note: Individual users on the account can add a personal email address.
  2. Choose Account Communications.
  3. Choose Add personal email.
    • To change an existing email address, choose the address and then Change email.
  4. You will be asked to verify your identity before making this change. You can choose one of two ways:
    • Tap a notification in the Xfinity app.
    • Enter a code sent through email or text.
  5. Enter your email address. Choose Continue.
    • You will get a code sent to this email.
    • Enter the six-digit code in the boxes and choose Verify.
    • You will get confirmation that your email is verified.

Yes it is, both the Xfinity ID and Security page and the Account Communications page have the new email address which is why I'm confused I'm still getting emails at the old email address.

@user_tpffz5 Could you please send our team a direct message with your full name and full address? To send a direct message:
1. In the top right corner, you'll see a little chat icon near the bell icon. Click the direct message icon 
2. Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
3. In the 'To' line, type "Xfinity Support" there. A drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list (an "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line)
4. Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
5. Press Enter to send it. An official employee, such as myself or whoever is first available, will respond. Thanks!
