Email accounts

Hi,

My original email account with Xfinity was compromised somewhere else which resulted in a TON of junk mail. So I created 2 new email accounts and changed my contact info at all of my of personal websites with the idea I'd simply delete the original one. Well, that has proved far harder than I thought. I was able to change the Primary user to one of the new emails , but for the life of me I can not figure out how to delete the original without erasing our Xfinity account completely. I'm hoping you can guide me through this maze I have created for myself.

Hello @user_076260 I am sorry to hear of the predicament that you are in with your email accounts. We are able to see why or what happened with missing emails by looking up the username for an email account. We are unable to remove any email address associated with your Comcast account. Since your account was compromised, I suggest that you reach directly out to the Customer Security Assurance (CSA) team at 1-888-565-4329 or https://internetsecurity.xfinity.com/help/report-abuse/  The CSA team specializes in these matters.

I was hesitant to include my actual email addresses. I wasn't sure this was a private message or it could be viewed by others. Do you need those addresses to resolve my issue?

Thanks,

Chris

Since we are in a public setting, we do ask that if you send any private information it is done in a direct message. For your situation, you actually will need to contact our  Customer Security Assurance (CSA) team at 1-888-565-4329 or https://internetsecurity.xfinity.com/help/report-abuse/. They assist with most of our security and fraud concerns.  To send a direct message [private message] to us please follow the steps below:
 •Click "Sign In" if necessary
•Click the "Direct Message" icon or  https://forums.xfinity.com/direct-messaging
•Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
•The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there.
•- As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list.
•- An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line.
•Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
 •Press Enter to send it.

Thanks!

I no longer work for Comcast.
