Deleted comcast.net Email Accounts — Looking for Similar Experiences

I recently discovered that several of my comcast.net email accounts had been deleted unexpectedly. I spent more than 3½ hours with a rotating cast of 9 reps between chat and phone support with no escalation logic or progress-sharing. The process was difficult to navigate and the issue remains unresolved. I was ultimately told the accounts had been permanently deleted. I understand that inactivity policies exist, but I routinely accessed my email through a mail client and had no indication that anything was at risk. I’m now trying to understand how this happened and whether any path to restoration exists.

I’ve already sent a detailed escalation to Executive Customer Relations, so I’m not looking for basic troubleshooting here. I’m mainly hoping to hear from others who have experienced something similar—how it was handled, whether recovery was possible, and what steps proved effective.

Thanks for joining us in our community forums, user_b0b3r! I'm sorry to hear that you've lost access to your email addresses. Accessing them through a third party email client should have been enough to keep them active. To confirm, are you unable to access your email address directly through the Xfinity website at https://www.xfinity.com/email?
If so, outside of working with the Executive team, you may have luck working with our Customer Security Assurance team if you haven't already attempted reaching out. You can reach them directly at 1-888-565-4329, 8:00am-12:00am EST, seven days a week.
