constant password change messages on my wife's Xfinity account

Every two to three days, my wife's Comcast email constantly asks for her smtp password. I checked her account via the web and it too keeps asking her to change her password. Once she does then everything works for another couple of days then it starts all over again. Why is this happening? It's not occurring with my Comcast account.

Greetings, @frammus! I hope your week has been treating you well. Thanks so much for taking a moment out of your busy day to leave a post on our community forum about these password change reminders. You have definitely come to the right place for assistance.

It is definitely strange that the same password change reminder keeps coming back, even after the password has been changed. Have you tried resetting the password from the primary account login, by any chance? I'm wondering if that would stop the reminders. You can find more details about how to do that here: https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/change-secondary-password

I'm the primary account holder... I looked in my account to see if that was possible and I don't see her account under mine. She seldom uses the web to read her mail. Always on her Mac or iPhone. I checked her account on Xfinity this morning and sure enough, it wants her to reset her password again. Just did this 4 days ago. This has been happening for a few. months now.

Thank you for checking on that, @frammus. I wonder if her profile not being listed on the account has any connection to these recurring reminders. If you could send our team a direct message with your full name, the name listed on the account (if different), and the service address associated with your account, I'd be more than happy to look into this for you.

To send a Direct Message, please click on the “Direct Message” (speech bubble) icon in the top-right corner of the screen, then the "Start new conversation" (pencil and paper) icon. In the section, type or select "Xfinity Support" and type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window and press Enter to send your message and initiate a live session.

So I think that is the problem. I can’t find a way to rename the account user from my name to hers. And I did send a DM last week and haven’t heard back from anyone.
