Change password on alternate email address

I am no longer an Xfinity account holder, however I have continued to use my email addresses (2) for years.  I have them set up in outlook & Apple mail.  Today I began receiving an error on my alternate email address on my phone. I thought I would check my email from the website to see what is going on. It says I need to change my password. So I login with master account & go to Account & Identitt, but my alternate is not listed.

To continue- my master account does not list my alternate & says I cannot add any accounts because I’m no longer a customer.  So, why did this just now crop up? How do I fix it?  I use my alternate for so many things!!

Thank you for reaching out to us. I understand how frustrating it can be to deal with email issues, especially when you're no longer an Xfinity account holder. Let's work together to resolve this. 😊

Steps to Resolve Email Access Issues

Here are a few steps you can take to fix the issue with your alternate email address:

  1. Reset Your Password: Visit xfinity.com/password to reset your password. Enter your Xfinity ID, a verified mobile phone number associated with the account, or a verified personal (non-Xfinity) email address

    .

  2. Check Email Settings: Ensure your email settings are correct. For Comcast email, use the following settings:

    • Incoming Mail Serverimap.comcast.net
    • Port993 with SSL ON
    • Outgoing Mail Serversmtp.comcast.net
    • Port587 with TLS (use SSL if TLS isn't shown).
  3. Enable Third-Party Access: Make sure third-party access is enabled in your Xfinity email settings. You can do this by logging into your Xfinity account and navigating to the email settings.

@XfinityWilliam this was all working yesterday, it has nothing to do with settings.  If I use my alternate to login into xfinity email it says I need to change my password.  I click on the link to change password, & it tells me I need to hook up to my Wi-Fi (which I already am), or get password help. The help screen tells me I need to sign in with the master account to change the password on the alternate.  The alternate isn’t listed.

Thank you for that clarification @user_59ewzn. If you are getting a password reset issue the best option to get that resolved would be through the customer security team at the https://spa.xfinity.com/ site.

I cannot get through to anyone.  The chat option will not provide a real person.

if I call it wants an account number before it will move past automated.

to remind, I am a former customer still using my email addresses.

@user_59ewzn since you are unable to reset your password, the best course of action, in this case, would actually be to report this to our Customer Security Assurance. You can contact them calling CSA directly at Toll-Free Number: 1-888-565-4329.
