Can't log into Xfinity account on Chromebook

For days I've had issues logging into my account on my Chromebook.  I sign in with my user name and password and it takes me to the main home page just fine.  Once you click on anything it acts like it's doing something then immediately takes you back to the password login over and over again.  I called Xfinity which is a challenge to start off with and was told it was probably my wifi modem which I own.  If that was the case I wouldn't be able to access any of my other accounts.  Was told to download the Xfinity app on my Chromebook which I did and can access my acct with the app but why can't I access my account on the internet?????

Do you have any adblocker or similar on the Chromebook? Or a privacy setting set too high? It could be blocking cookies or something needed to maintain the login across pages. You may need to put some of the Comcast pages in a whitelist. I'm not familiar with how Chrome works.

I just logged into this forum with my user ID and password and no problem at all.  It's just the account page that keeps taking me back to the enter your password.

Hi, please check your internet settings on your Chromebook. Have you tried to clear your cache and cookies or try to use a private page?

I've cleaned out my cache and cookies numerous times. I'm not sure what you mean about a private page??  I can access my account on my android phone and the xfinity app just not on my chromebook.

The private page may be named incognito. Have you heard of this for your computer?
