Cancel account

I have two accounts currently registered to my address and I want to cancel one of them. I already tried calling but the person who answered did not understand what I was saying so I don't want to call again. Please let me know how to cancel one of my accounts without calling or going to a store in-person.

Thank you.

@user_dm2vcj Thanks for adding a post to the community. When this happens, we need to close the new account. That will ensure the old account is the one that remains with all its history. Send us a direct message with your full name and complete service address to “Xfinity Support”. To do so, click on the message icon located at the top right of this forums page.

Here's the detailed steps to direct message us:

  • Click "Sign In" if necessary
  • Click the "Direct Message” icon (upper right corner of this page)
  • Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
  • Type "Xfinity Support" in the to line and select "Xfinity Support" from the drop-down list
  • Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
  • Press Enter to send your message

It has been over 30 minutes since your last reply in the direct messaging chat and my questions are not being answered. I am going to assume you cannot help me so I will contact someone else about my issue tomorrow. It would be helpful if you could at least give me the contact information of someone who can help me. I will check this discussion post tomorrow morning for that information.
