Admin Tool log in

I reset my gateway but the username and password are the defaults ones it or the password at least it tells me that "incorrect password for admin"

Hello @user_1zrux5 we know being able to manage your network is important, so we'd love to help you get logged in! If you completed a factory reset of your modem, then the default log in settings for the Admin Tool should be:

 

 

Username: admin
Password: password

 

If you launch the Admin Tool at http://10.0.0.1 with a computer/laptop, phone, or tablet that’s connected to your network and use that log in, does it work for you?

@XfinityKatie​ still doesnt work it says "incorrect password for admin!" when i use default settings

@user_1zrux5 have you changed your password previously to something else? If so, have you tried that to log in? You mentioned before that you reset the modem, did you do a full factory reset (restoring the device to the manufacture settings without a custom WiFi name/password) or just restart it by unplugging the device?

@XfinityKatie​ i have not logged in and added a new password since i restarted and i unplugged and plugged back in.

@user_1zrux5 Gotcha. I would actually do a factory reset to "reset" those settings. This link can provide directions on how to do that: https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/troubleshooting-your-cable-modem. 

I no longer work for Comcast.
