Admin login on new router

I am unable to log into a new router as Admin.  I had initially been able to change the password but now it doesn’t work, so I did a full reset and used the recommended “admin” and password on router and only get a greyed out box. I believe the router is blocking access to my printer on wifi I need access to check that possibility.

Hi user_qf1dns

Thank you for reaching out and creating a new post. I see you want to know if your network is blocking your printer using the Admin tool. If you haven't already, you'll need to allow the Xfinity Gateway Admin tool access, which is outlined here: https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/admin-tool-access.

Also, the Xfinity Gateway currently allows you to access your settings using the Xfinity App, which can help you determine if a device is being flagged. As you can read here: https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/using-xfinity-xfi-advanced-security, the Advanced Security feature allows you to view a dashboard of any threat or what it may deem suspicious activity from a device.

Is your printer having issues connecting to your network or staying connected?

I am unable to connect.  When I run a network connection check I get a Fail on MAC Address Filtering.  Using my Epson App it indicates it is connected to WiFi.  I have taken the printer back to factory setting  and gone through the setup again with password etc. multiple times.  The printer sees my WiFi name but will it  not connect.  Password is correct per other devises on the home Wifi.  I have also restarted both gateway and the printer in the right sequence multiple times.  As it worked prior to updating the router I can’t think of any other reason it is not connecting.

Thank you for confirming that information @user_qf1dns, and for trying those troubleshooting steps-we appreciate it. To help narrow this down, are you experiencing issues connecting with any other devices, or is it limited to just the printer? Additionally, are you using a third‑party router to connect to your network?

It is limited to just the printer.  All equipment is supplied by Xfinity.  There are no third party connections.
