Camera Motion Push Notifications Not Working

Camera is accessible and I can toggle the Notifications between Notifications Off, All Events or People Only. But with with either of the second two options, I never receive a notification. I do get Network Notification so it is enable for the app. It is an xCam2.

I have it set to All Events and had my daughter walk around in front of the camera and nothing.

Hi stevecalbert07!

Is this occurring on an Android Phone or tablet?  I ask because I have seen this a couple of times with Android Devices where the Xfinity App has been granted the necessary permissions for some types of notifications, but not others.

If you are using an Android, go in to your Settings icon and then to Apps and Notifications. Find the Xfinity App in the list and make sure the main Notifications toggle at the top is turned on, as well as the "motionEvent" category.

Something else to try to rule out the individual device being the issue would be to download the Xfinity app to another phone or tablet and see if the issue is persistent there as well. If notifications are received on the other device, uninstalling and reinstalling the Xfinity App on the original device might help.

No Android. It is an iPhone 12 Pro Max. I have tried it on my wife's phone, identical model, and it does not work. Nether us get motion alerts. We both get the notification for New Device Connected.

Thank you for providing the model of the phone. Have you already attempted to go into the settings on the iPhone and then to notifications to ensure that the notifications are enabled on the phone itself?

Got it - thanks for giving that a shot!  Please give us a call when you get a chance - we can take a look to see if there are any issues at the account level that might be impacting motion notifications, or if we suspect faulty equipment, get a technician out to have a look!  We can be reached at 1-877-298-0874.

Having the same issue with an 11 Pro Max. Been 'troubleshooting' for a few weeks now and no solution. Also not getting Xfinity doorbell notifications, which totally defeats the purpose of having the doorbell. Almost ready to get a refund and go with another company.

@indyboosler I ended up setting it up from my wife's phone and it worked. It also started working on my phone with no changes there. I added another camera and used my phone to set it up and that works.
