Alarm Bypass

I have set up a master code and then a family code. I want to ensure that only the master code can bypass zones; however, I’m finding that anyone who can access the main touchscreen can bypass any zone. How do I fix this?

Hello @user_kirk! We appreciate you taking the time to reach out on our Forums. We appreciate you being a customer with us and my team is here to help. I definitely understand your concerns about the Alarm bypass access. So there are three permission levels that can be assigned to Secondary Keypad Codes.

Standard access:

  • Can arm and disarm the system
  • Can cancel an alarm
  • Can access touchscreen settings, but can't make changes

Guest access:

  • Can arm and disarm the system
  • Can cancel an alarm
  • Can't access touchscreen settings

Arm Only access:

  • Can arm the system
  • Can't disarm the system
  • Can't cancel an alarm
  • Can't access touchscreen settings

Depending on the secondary users' permissions, they may have access to the Touchscreen settings. Please follow this link https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/manage-user-codes, for more information on managing keypad codes for your Xfinity Home system. Let us know if this helps or not. Thank you!

Once these users are set up - does the system have to rebooted for the access levels to take effect?
