Xfinity System Locked Credit Check

I just ran into the same problem that everyone is complaining about where I had a Freeze on Equifax to avoid fraud risk from a company hacked. This freeze has been on for several years, but never created a problem for any other company to complete a positive credit check. I removed the freeze for Xfinity and went back the next day to have them proceed to transfer my Internet and two mobile lines from Verizon. However, they are unable to complete the credit check and, therefore, cannot offer me the promotional upgrade for my 2 mobile devices. I can't believe that Xfinity hasn't addressed this system problem considering all the potential customer issues that have been experienced! If this cannot be resolved within 24-hours than I will remain with Verizon and Xfinity will lose another new customer forever.

user_Tom2026 Thank you for taking the time to reach out to us here on our Xfinity Forums. Were you able to get the credit check completed or did you still require assistance since it has been a few days?

Thank you for responding to my issue. My problem is still not resolved and it has been about a week now. Charles, the manager at the Xfinity Exton, PA store has been trying to get it resolved without success. Perhaps you two could work together to resolve this issue.

Hello? It's been 2 weeks and still no resolution. I'll be switching back to Verizon by Monday.

Hello @user_Tom2026. Sorry to hear that your issue has not yet been resolved. I can certainly understand how frustrating that must be, especially after you've already spent time trying to get assistance and are still looking for a resolution. While our access to Xfinity Mobile accounts is limited, we'd be happy to open a ticket with our Executive Mobile Team to further investigate your concern. For your privacy and the security of your account, if you could send our team a direct message with your full name, the name listed on the account (if different), and the service address associated with your account, we'd be more than happy to look into this for you.

How to send us a direct message:

  1. Click "Sign In" if necessary.
  2. Click the "Direct Messaging" icon.
  3. Click the "Start new conversation" (pencil and paper) icon.
  4. In the "To:" line, type "Xfinity Support."
  5. As you type, a drop-down list will appear. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list.
  6. An "Xfinity Support" graphic will replace the "To:" line.
  7. Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window.
  8. Press Enter to send it.

Too late! There's been an outstanding ticket on this issue for 2-weeks without resolution. I've decided to stay with Verizon. Xfinity really screwed up and it's obvious I'm not the only person experiencing this issue.

If you change your mind and are willing to let our team take a closer look, @user_Tom2026, we do have access to escalation procedures that often resolve similar concerns. We'd have to take a closer look at everything in order to know our next best steps, though. Please feel free to send us a DM to get started, and we'll gladly dive in!
