Xfinity steam no longer works on Samsung 8 tablet

I was able to stream using the Xfinity app, on  my Samsung 8 tablet until a week ago. It no longer works (Samsung phone works fine...tablet won't work).

I have uninstalled the app- signed out- reinstalled the app --updated my tablet/ checked for updates on the app. And nothing is working.

What else should I check??

I can access the app--and say, I want to watch the Food network. I will click on the Food network station on from the guide, and I can the same 'three dots' over and over and over. I even left my screen on overnight. The next morning the three dots were still trying to connect to a TV channel. I've tried other stations too. 


What gives???

Hi, thank you for reaching out to Xfinity regarding your concern with your streaming app and tablet. Can you confirm the version you have downloaded on your tablet? Seeing you can access the app on other devices and login is not the issue and may be the compatibility of the device and app itself. Where there any updates made before the issue occurred?

I"m looking at my tablet. There was an update on October 20th.  I believe this is when my problem started.  

I've already uninstalled/installed the XFINITY STREAM app (after October 20)

What can I do now?

What Android version are you running, and what is the version of the Xfinity Stream app?

Whatever the Google Play app is on Xfinity Stream. I don't know  what it is..but it is the latest one.

As far as my tablet: under ABOUT TABLET:  Samsung Tablet A8 Model SM-x200 

I don't know how to find Android Version on my Samsung Tablet.  

Under 'about table Android Services" 

Android used by Google ExtServices.

Can't help you any more than that.

SOLVED:   I just did a factory reset on my tablet.   I can stream now.
