Xfinity Mobile shared by the gig plans

Did Xfinity Mobile discontinue, shared by the gig plans with more than one gig able to share?

Can you keep your one gig shared plan and purchase from Xfinity a new phone paying for it over two years interest free? Can you bring over an unlocked fully paid new phone purchased from Apple and have it show properly under manage devices on the Xfinity app?

hopefully some of you can answer all or one of the questions posed above.

wpaulo Great questions! We'll try to answer them in the same order you asked them to make sure the information is as clear as possible.

1. We still have 'By the Gig' as an option that can be shared with others on the account. Currently, there is no way to increase the amount shared as this option is designed to provide 1 GB, and if more data is required, you would be assessed additional fees to accommodate the usage.

2. There is no interest if you choose to pay for a phone using device payments. You have the option to pay for the device in one lump sum, or you can choose to make payments on it after a credit assessment is performed. Yes, you can use a device you purchased from another provider. Here is a link to learn more about that process (https://www.xfinity.com/mobile/learn/byod). If the device is moved over to Xfinity Mobile it would appear in your Manage Devices in the Xfinity App as well.

After further research I did see that 3 GB shared and 10 GB shared options seem to still be available. The 3 GB shared option was priced at $35 per month.

We have discontinued the other shared options you may have seen. We only offer the 1 GB shared as we described in our previous response.
