Xfinity Mobile line never activated, but $36.30 balance remains after cancellation

I canceled my Xfinity Internet service after moving out. The Internet service was disconnected on September 20, and I also returned the modem.

On September 28, I contacted Xfinity because I noticed a $36.30 Xfinity Mobile charge on my account even though I had never used or activated Xfinity Mobile.

The live chat agent checked my account and confirmed that the mobile line had been “added but not activated.” I asked the agent to deactivate the line and completed the required approval process. The agent then told me:

“As you have not used the services, this will be taken off.”

My Xfinity Mobile account now shows Disconnected, so the cancellation appears to have been completed. However, about a week later, my account still shows a $36.30 balance with “Payment required.”

I am currently outside the U.S., and since my account is no longer active, I am unable to access live chat and am being directed to call instead.

Could an Xfinity representative please check whether the promised billing adjustment/credit is still pending and help remove this charge?

I have screenshots of the full conversation with the live agent and can provide account details privately if needed.
