Xfinity mobile and data usage

Hello,

I just moved our 2 phones from Verizon wireless to XFinity mobile, I have 1GB  data for both phones,  I got call from xfinity with recorded message, after I hanged up I saw data usage went up 34.66 KB used, no other phone calls or text messages made yet and data used! How that happened?

My mobile data off, data saver on, and I’m on home wifi, so how xfinity uses data?

Are my calls uses my data plan ? if yes then xfinity like VOIP not regular phone , and that will be very disappointment and will be costly ! sure sales person didn’t explained that to me.

Thanks

Look at the app data usage in your mobile data settings. That will tell you what app or apps used data, and how much.

When setting up new phones, it's normal for them to use a small amount of data during setup before you've turned the mobile data setting off.

Thanks for your reply, yes I know how to look to my data usage, and that is what I saw. my question was is xfinity uses data for calls or data has nothing to do with phone calls? I guess not, thanks all
