Xfinity mobile 1GB plan is an [Edited: Inflammatory]

I purchased this plan and even after turning off cellular data and WiFi assist, they are charging about 75-85$ a month. Even you turned Cellular data, everyday app shows that I am using cellular data. As soon you cross 1GB limit, they will add another GB and add another 15 $

Hello! Thank you for taking the time to post to our forums. One thing that I recommend with Xfinity Mobile is to set a data limit and a data warning in your phone settings. My kids are on the shared Gig plan and this has completely prevented any unwanted charges. It is really important to make sure you go into your mobile network settings and make sure Mobile Data is turned off there. Xfinity Mobile only counts the data requested by your phone.

If you feel the tracker is incorrect or for additional troubleshooting, feel free to contact our Xfinity Mobile team at these methods.

I have tried all the solutions and none of them works. I call the support on 1(888)936-4968 and she said she is going to set my mobile settings on low data mode and the data will not be used after reaching 1gb limit, still data uses are going up every day.

I have turned off cellular data and WiFi assist still data uses are going up. I have no idea how this Xfinity mobile is using mobile data. Would not recommend 1GB plan to anyone.

@user_hktjdj Can you check to see what the name of the Wi-Fi Network is that the phone is set up on? Does it show connected to your network name, xfinitywifi, or is Wi-Fi turned off?

Same here. I have 2 phones on the 1gb plan  since a few years. At the beginning everything was fine and we always had less than 1 gb. We do not really use our phone outside of wifi.

But after a year or so each time we 'aparently' get just a tad over the 1gb limit. How bizarre!

I've also turn of data  completely on one phone and guess what? Our individual usage is always similar just so that the sum of both is a tad over 1gb!

This is very suspicious.

@XfinityChristy After following multiple times with customer support. I have decided to move out from Xfinity. This was one of the worst plan where I trade my iPhone XR so that I can get 500$ trade in value over 24 months but this plan was an scam where I was paying approx 45-50 $ per month while I was supposed to pay 22.5$ only. So decided to pay phone full amount and move out.  I did not got any value of my iPhone XR on top of that end up paying extra 100$ in bills.

one of the worst experience with Xfinity mobile.

@dpalmans Hello! Thank you for reaching out to us here on our Community Forum. We would encourage you to look at this link (https://support.apple.com/en-us/102228) if you have an iPhone or you may want to look at the similar feature turning off WiFi assist if you have an Android device. If the connection on your phone has the assist turned on, it will fill any weak signals with cellular data to provide a stronger connection. This can cause your data usage to be higher and is worth looking into to see if this could be a cause of what you're experiencing.
