Xfinity call center is not trustworthy
I have contacted Xfinity customer service multiple times regarding an incorrect mobile bill, most recently on October 15, 2026. The issue is that I was charged $20.43 for a mobile service associated with number xxx.xxx.0407, even though that mobile line had already been discontinued. Frankly, I should not have received that bill at all due to a lengthy and frustrating series of issues related to my change of address experience with Xfinity. However, to resolve the matter, I paid the bill and was explicitly assured that it would be the final bill and that no further charges would be generated because the mobile line had been disconnected.
Today, I received yet another bill, this time for $42.13. When I contacted Xfinity again, the representative denied any record of the previous conversations and assurances. As a "solution," I was told that they could process a cancellation immediately, but instead of paying the billed amount of $42.13, I would still be required to pay approximately $2 in additional charges.
At this point, I have completely lost confidence in Xfinity's billing and customer service processes. Based on my experience so far, I have no assurance that even after agreeing to this latest request, I will not receive yet another bill next month.
Can someone please investigate this matter thoroughly and ensure that:
- The mobile line is fully and permanently canceled.
- All incorrect charges are removed.
- No future bills are generated for this discontinued service.
- I receive written confirmation that the account has been closed and that my balance is settled.
I would appreciate a prompt resolution to this ongoing issue.
Thank you.
