Xfinity 5g cell wifi vs home wifi
My home wifi connection keeps getting overridden by Xfinity 5G Cell WiFi...how do I stop it?
The towers are physically below my location behind buildings etc. Not only do I have a 1-2 second delay during phone calls... But I've got no wifi and can't use wifi calling because I've only got 1 bar.
My phone keeps switching to Xfinity Wifi 5g cell connection when I have Xfinity home internet right here with 5 bars running at 5-600mbs.
How do I stop Xfinity from preferring the Cell network?

Most WiFi routers can broadcast at 2.4GHz and 5GHz. Don’t confuse cellular 5G (5th generation) with the 5GHz used by WiFi routers and often used in SSIDs which is not a good thing.
If your phone is accidentally connecting to someone’s WiFi with the Name/SSID of Xfinity 5G then you need to stop your phone from automatically connecting to it. Depending on your device, you should be able to go into you WiFi settings, select the offending network, and “Forget This Network”.
Remember that your WiFi symbol represents the strength of the signal, NOT the speed or strength of the internet connection you are getting.
Also, it’s best to create your own WiFi names/SSIDs and make sure you are connecting to your own network.
