Will the promotional price go away if I move the new phone to a phone number on the same account?
I received a mailer with a promo code giving me $499 towards the purchase of a new phone upgrade on an existing line (the credit/discount would be applied over the course of 24 months). I want to upgrade my line and then move the new phone to another line on the same account (husband eligible for upgrade and then gives phone to wife).
Will the credit/discount go away if I change the phone number assigned to it at activation; bear in mind the phone would be on the same account.

You will only get the promotional credits if you activate and port the new phone with the phone number from the other carrier!
