Visual voicemail no longer working

I'm currently using an iphone 14 Pro Max and upgraded from an iphone 13 earlier this year.

I've been with xfinity mobile for 5 years and visual voicemail used to work.  Around a year ago, this feature which is advertised as part of the xfinity mobile service that I am paying for, vanished and voicemails no longer had transcriptions.   Yesterday I connected with an agent for a couple of hours while they spoke to the tier 2 technicians trying to fix the issue to no avail.  I was promised it would be fixed in 30 minutes...it wasn't, at the end of the chat, the agent promised the technicians would remedy the situation within 24 hours...it hasn't been remedied.

Xfinity when are you going to provide the service that you advertise and charge me for?

Some users have had a problem when they had too many unopened/untranscribed in their voicemail box on their phone. The solution was to open each unopened voicemail one by one and let each one fully transcribe. Also, clean out or save past voicemail.

Good Luck

@DaveO3

Thanks for the suggestion.  I actually have 0 voicemails including none in the deleted folder currently.  Nothing to clean out or do on my side.  This is a 100% xfinity mobile problem and they fail to fix it or even offer a good faith gesture of an account credit.

Visual voicemail is still broken and not working on my phone.

The next more drastic option is to call XM and have them temporarily suspend and then immediately reinstate your line. Per the link below you can suspend your line from the App, but don’t do this. You want to call and get tier 2 to do this, or something similar if tier 2 can’t solve the voicemail issue, as only they have the proper access. You should have another phone line available just in case the tier 2 support needs to call you back during the process. Maybe add t-Mobile Network Pass 3 month free trial to your old phone.

I had to do this in October after upgrading to new iPhone to get my SMS/MMS working.

Good Luck

Thanks for your suggestion and trying to help out.

I just had an agent suspend and reactivate my line.  I called and left a message from my google voice number but visual voicemail failed to work, as there was no transcription of my short voice message.

Hello @user_e289d0

Thank you for bringing your Xfinity Mobil concerns to our Xfinity Community Forums. For security reasons, we are very limited with the support we can provide our Xfinity Mobile customers via this platform.  For help with your Xfinity Mobile account, please call our Xfinity Mobile experts at (888) 936-4968, chat with them 24/7 at https://www.xfinity.com/xfinityassistant/?channel=xMobile&linkId=181546677, or visit an Xfinity Mobile location https://www.xfinity.com/support/service-center-locations/.

When do you think you’ll be able to get in touch with them? I would love to follow up with you afterwards to make sure you were taken care of.

I no longer work for Comcast.

I have already been in contact with the xfinityassistant chat representative & tier 2 technicians.  I will go into the office early next week to see if they can offer assistance.
