VERY POORLY WORDED (on purpose??) 20 GB PRIORITIZED DATA

Please be careful. These texts and emails are from Xfinity but may make customers who pay by the GB think they are now receiving 20 GB additional data at no additional cost. Of course, this is not true. You are receiving higher speeds for usage up to 20 GB but if you pay by the GB and use more data than usual, you will continue to pay by the GB!

The text message said: "Great new! We are now giving you 20 GB/mo of prioritized data on this line for no extra cost, so you can get an even faster, more reliable connection." That is worse than "poor wording", it's down right deceiving. I'm confident the vast majority of "By The Gig" subscribers think they just got boosted to 20 GB of data for the same base $20 previously charged for 1 GB. Get ready for a ton of billing disputes over this deceptively worded message.

XFINITY REPRESENTATIVE: PLEASE RESPOND AND CLARIFY!

Thank you for reaching out @maxcanslim I understand that sometimes wording may be a bit confusing but the data but it does not state that you are getting an additional 20 GB of data for your package, only prioritized data. I am sorry this was not clear.

Truly disappointing.  Not a nice message Xfinity.  Why bother sending it.

This has nothing to do with the issue. Why not be honest and apologize for the misleading communication? Boiler plate [Edited: Language] doesn’t cut it.

Absolutely ridiculous. Stop the gas lighting. The message is worded in such a way that it DOES make one think they got 20gb of data. Sorry but someone on a 1GB line doesn't care about 20gb of so called " faster" data of which I call [Edited: "Language"]! In fact this then appears to be worse as I don't remember the 1gb having any priority or limitations on speed. That's sort of the point.
