Upgrade Current Plan - iPhone 6s

I'm thinking about upgrading my plan from the $12 by-the-gig plan to the $15 by-the-gig plan.  I don't think xfinity will let me activate a new line on an iPhone 6s but will it allow me to switch my existing iPhione 6s lines to the new plan?
