Unresolved Billing Error: Promotional Apple Watch Credits Dropped Due to Agent Misinformation
I am looking for assistance from the Digital Care Team regarding a billing error caused by conflicting instructions and broken promises from support representatives.
Recently, I was persuaded by an agent to add two Apple Watches to my account because I was assured they were 100% free under a promotion.
1. First Representative: Talked me into taking the free watches, but set them up on separate standalone lines instead of pairing them with our existing phone numbers without even asking which I wanted.
2. Second Representative (Kunal): When fixing the setup, I explicitly questioned why the new bill showed a price increase. The rep assured me in writing: "No need to worry, as I will take care of that, and it will not be increased." Based on that explicit written promise, I approved the line deactivation and reactivation.
3. Third Representative (Divakar): After seeing full device charges hit my bill, I chatted with a rep who reviewed the logs and confirmed in writing that the previous agent provided incorrect information and removing the lines stripped the promotion.
4. Fourth Representative (Mithlesh - Chat ID: 6815189492459205134): Re-confirmed that line removal caused the promo drop and applied a temporary $30 manual credit for my current bill (Confirmation #: 6815189492459205134). However, I was advised that frontline chat cannot re-apply recurring promotional credits and that I would need to contact chat every month to request adjustments.
Asking me to reach out to live chat every month for 36 months is not a viable long-term solution for an agent-caused error.
Because this entire issue stems from representative error and a broken written guarantee, I am asking for an official Digital Care agent to review the logs and establish a permanent recurring credit or account adjustment to honor the original offer. I have full screenshot documentation of all chat conversations ready to share via direct message.
Thank you for your help in getting this resolved!
